Highlights from our Welcome To The Jungle Craft Night

Thank you for swinging by our Welcome To The Jungle Craft Night - it was a ROARing success! Animals made on the night included a cheetah, toucan, tiger, lion, crocodile, bear, parrot and various cheeky monkeys...

Felt keyrings with The Make Escape's Susie
Hand-stitched and stuffed, an entire kingdom on animals was sewn on the night. Can you spot yours?

Animal masks with Purple Claire Textiles
We didn't manage to get a photo of Claire but we did capture this suspect looking zebra...
Some of the masks made on the night...
A tropical bird mask modelled by a Make Escape regular...
And some masks by a pair of Make Escape newbies. Yay!

Knit & Knatter
Every month the wonderful ladies from London's Knaughty Knitters teach you how to knit and this month they were joined by very special guest: Benjamin, aka Knit You Next Tues. He brought along patterns in how to knit animal print - we also fell in love with his knitted tie and tank top.
Benjamin who runs workshops throughout London gave away some of his knitting secrets...
One happy visitor with her leopard print sample...
Elsewhere there were some gorgeous personal projects underway, we were wowed by this gorgeous peacock coloured shawl.

Oh-so-cute rings with Jemma from Le Shit Chic Boutique
Jemma's own jewellery collection is very kitsch, quirky and cool (a baked bean and chocolate charm bracelet anyone?!) and her jungle workshop was just as fun.
Happy guests with their animal rings...
Check out those pom pom ears!

Sound and Music
While our in-house DJs The Spinning Yarns took a break, the decks were passed over to VJs All Hands on Decks who played some wild tunes against some fabulous backdrops...
Ape talk...
...(just a shame the bar weren't stocking this)
....this hypnotic snake was rather menacing and made several slithery appearances throughout the night...
...did we mention the cheeky monkeys; here's another one, a temporary member of the team!

Jungle Life is brilliant!
Thank you to the Make Escape fan who suggested the theme.
If you have a suggestion for a future craft night, let us know!

In the meantime make sure you put our Fright Night (Tues Oct 29th) in your diary now for a night of spookiness including make your own horror film poster, freaky fascinators and eerie earrings.

Hackney Attic, 270 Mare Street, London
Free Entry: 7.30-11pm
